Receives, stores, and issues automotive spare parts and accessories in a repair shop, supply depot, or warehouse.
Makes records of and checks incoming parts; stores parts in bins or compartments in such a manner as to facilitate issue and taking of inventory; issues and keeps record of parts issued. Takes periodic inventory. May receive, store, issue, and maintain tools used in an automotive repair shop. Must be thoroughly familiar with nomenclature, appearance, and interchangeability of automotive parts.
Should know supply procedures and regulations governing accountability and responsibility for government property.
