Performs underwater salvage, construction, and demolition work on ships, planes, or other submerged objects. Inspects gear before diving, checking valves, lines, connections, and suit.

509 - BOMBARDIER

Releases bombs on enemy targets from a bomber plane; adjusts bombsight for such specific conditions as ground speed, elevation, and drift; identifies target; releases bombs when target is seen in correct relation to appropriate markings on bombsight; reports effect of bomb hits to pilot.
