136 - RELIEF MAPPER or LANDFALL TECHNICIAN  
[LANDFALL TECH]

Constructs relief maps or scale models of terrain, showing enemy and friendly positions, military equipment, buildings, and similar objects, for use in acquainting troops with assault objectives; or constructs such objects for use as training aids.

Uses papier mache, plaster of paris, clay, sand, wood, cardboard, metal, and other materials.  Must be thoroughly familiar with the interpretation of aerial photographs and military maps. Should have a general knowledge of the principles of camouflage. Should have artistic ability, be able to work in colors, and be able to work with modeling clay, plaster, papier mache, and similar materials.  Note—Use title Landfall Technician in Aviation.
